I'm feeling nostalgic with this rainy weather in Southern California.
It reminds me of the times when fall was so special!
My grandma would come to visit from Venezuela,
and we would start eating some yummy great food!
We would also make clothing, and decorations for the house.
I want to carry on those traditions!
It's part of me, and it will be forever.

But I need to get my act together.
I'm unorganized, poor and unable to do a lot of what I want to do.
First, of course I need to clean!
Then start saving more money.
I want to be able to buy ingredients to make yummy food.

Yesterday my boyfriend said he wished that I cooked for him.
He says he likes my cooking, and I believe him.
I don't think he would really go out with a woman who couldn't cook, LOL.
I do want to cook for him, but I just never have the time or ingredients.

Crystal, my room mate, is starting to cook a lot of Mexican dishes!
(Her mom is from there, so of course that is what she taught Crystal.)
I really want to learn from her, because first of all she cooks very well and it's Mexican food!
My boyfriend is Mexican, so I want to learn to make food that he likes.
Mexican food is so amazing, it's one of the BEST part of their culture!!
I can't really comprehend how they make such great food ...
but it definitely makes me happy =]

Well that's enough of a cooking rant for now.
Hopefully I will have an update with something I cooked soon!

I don't know if that is the right title for this post.
After so many disappointments with people,
I mean A LOT.
Somebody finally proves me wrong.

My next door neighbor saw me about to walk my bike up the stairs,
and he offered to help me!

So strange.
It's a good thing though.
To get hope again.

I mean of course there are those people in my life,
that are wonderful and I have nothing to complain about.

But there are so many more that are just,
well any words that I would write about them are inappropriate.
You get the idea.

So yes, those less than preferable people in my life have some
GOOD in them. I just see too much of the BAD.

I just hope that doesn't make me a bad person.
It's just hard to like people like that.
I try to love them, like Jesus does.
But to do that, I have to remain at a distance.

At least, that's what I've learned.

I have been having so many strange, but amazing dreams.
The kind that pop in your head when you're sleeping,
just in case you thought I meant the other kind.
=]
They are what I want, but I don't know what it means.
I'm scared if I want it too much, I won't end up getting it.
Its something I can't really control.
I'm just scared of what these dreams mean,
and I don't want it to mean the opposite.

I can't even share them, which is the worse part.
I could, but I don't want to be creepy.

I kind of hope they go away,
so they won't stress me out anymore!!

Yesterday we finished seeing the rest of Bella.
I do admit, I did tear up a bit.
It is really a good example of why you should always
say YES to life.
Nina would never have been able to see her baby
grow up if she went a different route.
It is a beautiful movie.

Later... and I mean much later,
I was greeted by a new life!!
At about 2:30 in the morning this morning,
I got to meet Paloma Mariella Suchsland =]
She is so adorable!!

It is amazing to witness a life being grown in a woman's womb,
and then come to life in about 9 months!!
I still am kind of freaked out by it.
But it still makes me very happy.
She is a wonderful baby girl,
and will grow up with a lot of love.
I am just happy to be a little part of the whole process,
even if I am just a spectator.
I hope I can be apart of her life and help her grow as well.

I also want to note that the picture Jorge took
of the wonderful baby girl is very cute,
and it looks like she's winking at us and saying,
"I know, I AM cute!" =]
Or something more profound like,
"I know all of the secrets of life,
but I'm not going to tell you!
You're just going to have to find out all on your own."

But people always give them out!

Young adult ministry

So many things keep me thinking about creating a young adult ministry somewhere. Simply for young adults, not college students or professional adults. Just for anybody who is in the in-between. Who needs a ministry they can call their own. I write this but how serious am I? I barely have enough time to live my own life! Why do I want to keep making it more complicated? I am a confusing person I guess.

We'll just see what happens.

So....
after working from 8am-5pm Monday through Friday pretty much ALL summer,
it is finally over.
It was nice making more money, but it took over almost my whole summer break.
And I think it's funny that now there is a heat wave, when fall semester is starting!

Today was my first day of classes this semester.
It is nice to be back, getting into the groove of things.
It is something familiar.
I want this semester to be different.
I want to be very organized with my time,
and school work, and bills!

We are getting internet in our apartment!
My roommates and I are growing every month to be more responsible and mature.
It is a great journey.
I am so happy that I made the leap to move out of my parents house, and move
in with these wonderful young adult women.
I think we are really helping each other become successful adult women.
Whatever "successful" means for each one of us.

Well that is my update after summer.
I wish I had written during the summer,
but realistically I really didn't have any time.
Another goal this semester is to keep up with my blogging.
I like to think about what I'm learning everyday.
Maybe even blog with more pictures of my life.

I'm going to be working full time during the summer.

I actually like doing this working in a cubicle thing.
I'm part of the "white collar" class now.

The next thing is wearing professional attire 3 days out of the week.
It was only one when I was working part time.

I just need to manage my money well and pay off my bills on time.

First of all,
I actually really like that movie!

Phil saw his shadow, so we will have winter for another 6 weeks.
But he's only 39% accurate, so should I believe it?
What does winter really mean in southern California?
I guess some more rain.

I'm okay with that.

I wasn't here for the crazy storms, so I'd still like some more rain.

Now if I had to relive a day over & over until I finally got it right,
I would try to kill myself too.

But it's a good lesson.

I just hope that I am living everyday to the fullest.
That I'm doing what I was meant to do.

I think today will end up being a great day.

I remembered other things I have learned:

today i hemmed my skirt that I've been wanting to fix for a LONG time!
it reminds me of when my mom, abuelita & I used to make clothes & things.
I want to keep that tradition when I have my own family.
I'm making one of the christmas gifts that I'm giving.

2 of mine were stolen this week.
disappointing!
one was an old Schwinn road bike that I wanted to fix up!
(it was kinda messed up)
the other was one my friend got & fixed so i could mtn bike.
(but the back tire was flat)

I'm already over it.
I'm ok with it.
It happens.
Plus I didn't use them!

At least I still have my Schwinn Suburban Cruiser!

But I really want to get a road bike now for sure.
Probably an old one I can fix up =]
It will be stored inside of my apartment though.

I think that show is awesome ...
so i want to do something like it about my life every week!

This week has already been the best back to school week ever ...
and it's not over yet!!

I live in an apartment with the best roommates ever!
& i have awesome friends ...
what more can i ask for??

Monday I was at St. Paul's all day working on Confirmation stuff ...
then went to Jorge's newly opened bar to hang out with some friends!
I had a martini, pina colada, and black russian.

Tuesday was my first day of class which went very well!
One of my classes was canceled for the day so i got a nice break.
I took a yoga class at the rec center.
I now know that I need to start exercising a lot more!
My favorite class was definitely Rock Climbing!!
Then at night I got to go to Disneyland with Amy, Sisco & Ricky.

Wednesday I went to watch Chelsea Lately with Amy & Ana!!
Brody Stevens was the warm-up comedian [he was in The Hangover]
Kevin Nealon from Weeds was the guest.
It was a lot of fun!!
Then we went to the 3rd street promenade in Santa Monica.
I was soo exhausted by the end of the day.

Thursday is the longest day of classes for me.
Still not over yet!
Got to go do some yoga =]

I just came back from watching Julie & Julia.
So of course I decided to blog!
HAHA

I absolutely LOVED the movie!!
It was so awesome how Julie was able to blog about a specific goal for a whole year!

This got me thinking ... through the movie I might add.
I NEED to blog. Write my life away.
Also, start cooking!!

I have been very busy either living life, or being lazy!!

Cooking is not one of my fortes.
But I'm not bad at it.
I just need to practice, and see what I like making.

First of all it was my 21st birthday!!
So now nobody can tell me I can't go inside a building anymore ...
well if it's for the reason that there's an age limit at least!

This was probably the best birthday celebration I've had yet!
& it still isn't over yet!!

But really I have realized more and more that I want to get married
& cook for my husband. Then have some kids & take care of them.

Just all around happiness.
I want to have love all around me, and people ... lots of people.

I want to be in love.

So far I have been trying to live in love as Jesus wants me to =]

I think I deserve it!!

Watching love in the movies makes me want it more & more!!

I know I am very immature in some areas that other people my age aren't.
It doesn't matter, I like it!

I am so innocent, especially when it comes to guys.
But it's refreshing.
Having feelings like this when you are older makes it so much more real.

Just letting a guy touch me other than a hug is a big deal to me.
I know what I'm worth, and I don't even know how I learned it really.
I just have to figure that out to teach my kin in the future.

One thing I have learned so far?
1. Don't get your hopes up, it's not worth it in the long run.

2. Honesty IS the best policy! It's so much easier that way.

Good feelings?
3. Holding hands is awesome, especially how natural it feels.

Ok so ...
This is definitely the best lent I have ever experienced!
I remember the talk Mark Hart gave at RE Congress ..
He talked about his friend who is making this Lent like it is his last 40 days to live.
I really think I am doing that.
I have had so many great conversations and experiences.
I feel a conversion of my heart.
I just wish other people I know could go through this with me too!
There are a few though.
And I think God has sent them to me for this reason!

Oh my goodness!!!
It's soooo exciting.
I just want to spread the light of the Lord!

Craziest Week Ever!

SO .....
I NEED to write a very detailed blog about this past week ...
I will start, but I won't be able to finish today!

Monday-
I went out to Yorba Linda to speed walk/jog in the rain with Kiley!
We went around her neighborhoods and the distance was about 4 miles.
It was fun!
Went back to Val's and took a shower to go to the movies.
Anne met us there to watch Confessions of a Shopaholic.
I really liked it ... until the power went out and we had to leave =/
We watched most of the movie, there was probably about 1/4 left.

After going to the store with Anne, we went back to Val's and Kiley made some chili for dinner. (Anne had to leave before we ate.)
Kiley's friend Joey came over too.

Monday felt weird to me because there was no school, but it seemed to me like I was wrong for not going to school. I don't know why!!!

Tuesday-
I only had my late class that day because my Chem lab was cancelled!
So I drove to school for a change.
In my Leadership Class we watch a movie about Martin Luther King Jr.'s beginnings as a leader. All about the bus boycotts, and we will finish watching it next week. I really like it, but I forgot the name of it!!!

After I went to Dan's house to pick up his GPS system for my trip on Wednesday.

Then I went to six:30 the Young Adult meetings at St. Paul the Apostle in Chino Hills. It was nice, reading scripture and reflecting on questions. Then most of us went to Subway afterwards to eat dinner.

It was a nice night.

I wasn't raised to put up with stupid people,
so it's hard for me to HAVE to stick around until the end of the semester.

I'm making new friends at St. Paul's which are awesome!
I love hanging out with them and just having fun!

God has led me to many wonderful people.
And I am very grateful!

I am comfortable with who I am.
It makes me happy, but it bugs me that people don't notice.

I usually feel like an outcast, even with my friends.
They don't listen to me. At least barely ever.
I have always been different, so I shouldn't expect anything else.
It is just very frustrating.
The closest to culture I have is the Catholic church.
And I still don't feel that close to the people.

Maybe it's my fault for saying things in a weird way or something.
I am the strangest person I know, and I don't think that anyone can understand me.
Hopefully someone does someday, and that it's a boy so I can marry him.

Everyone always tells me how innocent I am.
Or how young I act.
But I don't think they know me.

I strive to be child-like.
For the Lord, and my in my everyday life.
I love how children can express themselves and live in the moment.
I hope I can someday achieve that.

But at the same time, I don't think I am very innocent.
I know a lot about this world, and I think I am wise.
Well ... someone told me that once, and I think it's true.

I see our world in a different perspective.
I learn from other people's mistakes.
I live my life the way I see fit.
I have seen a lot of hurt and brokenness,
and I make choices in my life to avoid the worst.
Maybe I am too cautious, but I have to protect myself.

It takes me too long to forgive.
But I never forget.

I do regret things I have done in my life,
but without them I wouldn't be me.

I dress the way I do because I like it.
If I think it is cute, then I will wear it.
Not because I want others to like it.

I like being unique,
but sometimes I hate being different.

I am not simple.

Part of me is the society I live in,
but I'm not very much like it.

I am the weirdest person you will ever meet.

I still really can't believe it ...
The last two Presidential elections have been so disappointing that it's sooo much better that we won this time!
Although all of the people who are Republican on facebook/myspace are so fricking annoying!
The world isn't going to end ... it's going to get better ...
And I really feel that Republicans do a great job at separating our country ...
which isn't the point ...
We had to put up with Bush as President for 8 years ...
so stop acting like we're going to die.

And this was the first Presidential Election I could vote in!!!
Although it was like the third time I've voted.

1A=YES - I don't think we should be spending billions of $s right now ... no matter how cool it sounds.
2=YES - I am happy about this one.

4=NO - I still don't know how I feel about this one.

p.s. I voted for Nader ... but of the two I definitely think Obama can do more good for our country than Mcain could do. If Bush's administration hadn't ruined so much ... the race would have probably been much closer.

is a very hard time for me this year.
i actually gave up something that i do all the time.
gossip.
it is horrible ...
but i just always do it.
some people probably hate me because of it.

i really am.
there was stupid drama going on and i always give my 2 cents.
i think the real reason i gossip is it's important to me.
what ever i talk about brings out some emotion.

this past weekend i went on a retreat.
it was awesome ... one of the best ones in a long time.

on saturday night we were playin 4 'F's.
it was good because we got to know each other very well.
when it was my turn i was crying the whole time!
and i am not a cryer.
it was weird, but i think i needed it.
this emotion coming out of me about some friendships i have made me realize the reason i talk about them so much.
it really hurts me that everyone gossips ...
but i just continue to do it!
i think i'm ready to stop.
as well as i can.
i shouldn't have been doing it in the first place.
but i fell and have to get back up!
freddy's talk last night helped with reminding me.

it's like i know i have some amazing friends.
but i'll never let anyone in.
i don't know why.
maybe that's another reason i gossip ...
so people won't get so close to me.

Dakota is such an amazing boy and I am so happy that I got to meet him this summer!

others were saying stupid stuff ... but it's ok.

it would have to be with the word: erratic.
i can change anything about my life and it would be okay.
i chronically want change and i am happy with it.
i've changed somethings recently and it makes me feel better.
that is probably why i've never really had a best friend.
or a real relationship with a guy.
